In October 2025, suppliers and the energy industry will gather at OTD Energy in Stavanger Forum. This fall, interest in exhibiting at the annual meeting place for suppliers to the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors has reached historic heights.
– “What’s unique this year is the overwhelming demand from companies eager to secure exhibition space early. The event we hosted in Bergen last October was a huge success, and it’s clear that word has spread about OTD Energy becoming a stronger and more essential meeting arena than ever before. We’ve never experienced such high demand as this fall, so this is not the year to wait,” says Odd Knudsen, CEO of OTD Energy.
He emphasizes that several attractive stands are still available, but the event is expected to be fully booked by the end of the first quarter.
25 Years of Leads and Contracts
Since its inception in 1999, OTD Energy has been known as the most effective meeting place for companies delivering technology, goods, and services to the energy sector. Exhibitors and visitors alike have consistently reported leaving OTD Energy not just with business cards and inspiration, but also with leads—and in many cases, signed contracts.
At the event, suppliers, contractors, and operators come together to explore new solutions, conduct business, network, maintain relationships with customers and suppliers, stay informed about market trends, and recruit new employees.
In recent years, some major companies have even started sending entire procurement departments to OTD Energy.
– “OTD Energy is an effective platform for connecting with both customers and suppliers. At last year’s OTD, we held valuable meetings with five operators, three of which resulted in concrete project discussions,” says Gunnar Hilsen of Oceaneering.
Unique Industry Insights
Next year’s event will also feature a strong program, offering over 30 hours of professional content. Highlights from the last Stavanger edition included the Offshore Wind Conference, focusing on offshore wind, and the the Energy Procurement & Supply Chain Summit (EPS), addressing opportunities in petroleum. Together, these conferences attracted 900 participants in 2025, while another event, Equinor’s Global Supplier Day, drew an additional 500 attendees.
OTD’s BusinessHub facilitates meetings between exhibitors and procurement teams from operators and contractors such as Aker Solutions, Oceaneering, Aker BP, and Aibel. These meetings offer participants unique industry insights and have historically led to fruitful collaborations.
– A Social Platform for Expanding Networks
As is tradition, the Energyshow will bring together 2,000 industry professionals for dinner and secret entertainment at DNB Arena.
– “OTD Energy in Stavanger will be the industry’s most important meeting place in 2025. For us, participation is important on multiple levels—strategically to connect with customers, but also as a social platform to expand our network and stay professionally updated,” says Siver Stendahl, Director at Air Liquide.
